In-Year Admissions

The Governors can accept applications for in-year admissions into the school at any time via the school office and submission of a completed In-Year Admission Form & SIF. Admissions will depend on vacancies in the relevant year groups. If there are more applicants than places available, then the most recent published over-subscription criteria will apply. Parents/Guardians have the opportunity to place their names on the Continued Interest List if a place is not available at the time of the application. For in-year applications, parents wishing to make an appeal should contact the school office on admin@stmarys916.herts.sch.uk.

Reception Admissions for Year 2017/18

All school admission authorities are required to undertake consultation on their admission arrangements if they are changing their arrangements. Even if no changes are being made, they are still required to carry out a consultation at least once every seven years. As St Mary’s is a voluntary-aided school, the Governing Body is the admitting authority.

The Governing Body undertook a consultation on our draft admissions arrangements for the academic year 2016/17, which took place between 2 January and 27 February 2015. Responses were received from Hertfordshire County Council and from the Diocese of St Albans. Following from that, the Governing Body has determined the admission arrangements for the academic year 2017/18 as follows:

Reception Appeals 2017/18

Appeals should be lodged by 19th May 2017.  Appeals to be heard between 19th June and 21st July 2017.
Appeals lodged after these dates will be heard within 40 school days of the appeal deadline or 30 school days of being lodged, which ever is the later date.
