On Wednesday the 7th October a group of year 6 went to a Maths Challenge at Ashlyns School. The group consisted of Holly, Emily, Henry, Rhys and Francisco.
The children were set problem solving group challenges.
It was a great event and the team spirit was good and everyone was involved. Our team did not win but came up with some amazing solutions that no other group had thought of. It was great to see them working well together and enjoying an experience at a secondary school.
Thank you Ashlyns.
Fire Station Trip
Our Year 6 children have been to the fire stations at Hemel Hempstead and St Albans where they learnt about fire safety. The children thoroughly enjoyed their visit where they carried out team building exercises and were given a good insight into how a fire station worked. They felt the anticipation that the firemen could be called to an incident at any time. Thank you to Steve from Red Watch who answered all their questions.
